A new year, a fresh start. I am determined to make this year an incredible one, in spite of its somewhat rocky beginning. It matters not, because I went into the New Year on an incredibly high note, surrounded by close friends and people I love. There was non-alcoholic, sparkling champagne, clinking goblets, falling balloons, stampeding youths, the electric slide, a faux soul train, big sloppy kisses on the cheek, fierce hugs, and lots of beaming. I truly hope that the old adage is true, and I will spend my year like I spent that night: happy.
